Pre-filter

The AirPura pre-filter comes in a set of two. Each pre-filter should last 3 to 6 months depending upon the use of the air filter. Other factors that determine the life of the pre-filter are the quality of the air due to pets, cleaning habits, and outdoor air infiltration. We recommend you vacuum the outside of the unit with your normal cleaning routine. This will lengthen the life of the pre-filter as well as help the air purifier perform efficiently. The pre-filter is designed to gather the larger particles much like a furnace filter. Therefore, frequent replacement of these pre-filters will also lengthen the life of the internal HEPA filter and keep you and your family healthy.

HEPA Filter Device

The AirPura HEPA filter replacement device is a true hospital-grade HEPA filter. These filters are designed to capture 99.97% of all airborne particles. The HEPA filters will last 3 to 5 years depending upon the use of the air purifiers and the indoor air quality. The frequent changing of the pre-filters will prolong the life of the more expensive HEPA filters. These filters are designed especially for the Austin Air air purifiers to provide a tight seal within the air chamber.
