| The Voltaic Generator is the first solar powered bag capable of
charging a laptop. The Generator solar laptop charger has high-efficiency cells
and includes a battery pack custom designed to efficiently store and
convert the electricity generated. It will also charge cell phones and
most other hand held electronics. The high efficiency solar panels are scratch resistant, waterproof and UV safe. These solar panels generate 15 watts of sun power to the battery pack, charging it to full with as little as five hours of direct sunlight.

This solar powered bag is also sustainably manufactured using recycled plastic from soda bottles. The Generator has several pockets for pens, business cards and anything for that important meeting or class. It will accommodate most laptops up to 17". The included battery pack is the latest in battery technology, a lithium ion rechargeable pack similar to the battery in a laptop.

Selecting the Correct Voltage: The power requirement for a
particular device is typically indicated in the product literature, on
the device itself, or on the charger (as power output). Most laptops
charge between 12 and 20 V. Cell phones and PDAs typically operate at
5V – use the USB wire for these devices.
Note: Not all manufacturers enable charging from external batteries and the included adapters do not fit all laptops. Results may vary by model, but laptops by
Apple, Dell, HP, IBM/Lenovo and Panasonic typically do charge.
Fujitsus, Sony VAIOs, Toshibas and 17" multimedia style laptops are
less likely to charge.
